I Love Japan (part 1)

April 2, 2007

yooo!

long time no see eh? again… :P

NOW Im finally in Japan! And have spent the last 3 weeks in this stunning nation (Im not stunned, the japanese are xD I will explain later why and why I love it!). first I must say I love the japanese people! <3

just the smell from all the vending machines make you feel like you never felt before (except for me, becuz Ive been in Japan before and felt the scent of THE machines!!!!) .

on the plane from London Heathrow with destination TOKYO NARITA, we had LOTS of fun and some sad times too (I could not sleep)… Me, my friend totte and some other swedish exchange students sat in the back of the plane, veeery close to each other, just so close that we could keep a conversation and disturb the people in our area… (poor people…). When we came into the plane and went to the back, I did not see any japanese girls on the seats nearby, I was soo worried! BUT! as I forsaw, there they came! right toward us! YES! they were the ones who had the only remaining seats behind me! AND they were cute! All the flight long I talked pretty loudly to the swedish exchange student girl, about those two girls behind us, like:

me- WHAT ARE THEY DOING!?

her-one of them is eating, the other one is sleeping. soo cute.

me-HEHE

her-ow, the one behind you is very nice!

me-I got her already!

of course we talked in swedish, so no one (I hope) understood what we were saying. later on, I was going for the one behind me, I thought about what to say… hmm, in the meal that we were handed, contained some wierd fruit, of course I knew what the fruit was, but I thought this to be a good opportunity! said and done! I turned my head back towards her, and:

me- excuse me… do you know what thiiiis iiiis???

her-oh, its a fruit

me-oh, okay

END OF CONVERSATION…

…not too much to add…

BUT I have plenty of chances while in Japan HEHE~

TO BE CONTINUED!

Death Delay

February 10, 2007

Death Delay

It was almost 8 o clock, and nearly all office workers had already gone home. But Akira was still at his desk, like he usually was. Fukuda, his boss came by and asked if he would not go home like everyone else. Akira answered that he had to save some files first.
-well then, are you going on vacation? Fukuda asked and pointed at the bag that Akira got beside him.
-what do you mean? Ah! Yes I am. But I also got to do some calls for the company though. Akira replied.
-haha, you sure have a hard time, to do work on your vacation. Fukuda said laughing.
-ah, yes. Akira answered, and Fukuda went away towards the elevators.

Akira took up some papers, where he had calculated the security camera’s angle, and thanks to that, be able to sneak down to Fukuda’s desk at the corner of the large office room. There were no walls between the desks, just chairs and computer cables. He shut off his computer and packed his belongings in his, so called vacation bag, and begun crawling down to Fukuda’s place. He followed his map of the camera angle, to not be caught on the security tape. Said and done, he was now ready to copy all the files from his boss’ computer. All he needed was a password and user name. But it was easily found under the keyboard as Fukuda was very naive, and trusted all employees. These files were worth around 100 million yen. When he was done copying these precious codes, he head for the elevator.
He pushed the going-down-button. One elevator was still on his floor, strange he thought, all elevators should be on the ground floor as all had already left the building, and he was the last man there. But apparently he was wrong, because when the elevator door opened, there were an old woman, an old man and a middle aged girl standing peacefully in the elevator. They looked kind of strange, and was starring right ahead. But Akira wanted to leave the building fast and felt it would be rude to ignore them by taking another elevator.

He stood with the back against them, and pushed the button for going to the ground floor. But the elevator was going upwards, strange again. He tried to stop the elevator by pushing the 10th floor, when the elevator was going to the 20th floor. The old lady said to him with a smile on her face:
-I always do that too, walking up, and going down with the elevator.
Akira replied with a kindly and counterfeit smile.
But when the elevator reached the 10th floor, it did not stop… in a rush he pushed the 15th floor. But it had no use. Suddenly, just before the 19th floor, the elevator completely stopped. The light cut off, and it was dark for a few seconds before the backup light came.
-isn’t this typical. Akira said.
-Yes, but we got all time in the world, no rush here. The old man said back, with a smile.
-Are you going on a trip? We are also on a trip. The young girl said and looked at Akira’s bag.
-ah! Yes I am, with my son. Akira replied with a fake-looking smile.
-oh, what a shame. How old is your son? The old lady asked.
Akira was shocked to hear such an answer, why was it a shame? But answered fast:
-he is 6 years old.
The young lady and the other two began to cry.
-but you will meet him soon, in the other world. The girl said sobbing.
Akira just looked at them, even more chocked than the last time and felt a cold feeling, like a fear stroke him, and then turned his back on them.

The emergency phone began to ring. Akira took the phone with a firm grip, and asked when they were going to let them out of the elevator with a whispering hysteric voice.
-We are almost there, just stay calm and we will get you out of there in no time. The person on the other side said.
-oh, and one more thing, there is only one person in the elevator, and that is you. The man on the phone added.
-what!? An old couple, and a young girl are also with me in the elevator! Akira replied in a trembling voice.
-no sir, we can only see you on our security camera inside the elevator.
Akira dropped the phone and began to sweat. But how could he possibly be alone? he was not alone… The fear came crawling up his spine.
The three of them just stood there and fell tears while starring at him.
-Stop it!!! He yelled.
The elevator shook violently. The young lady looked at her watch and seemed confused. Also the old woman and the old man looked at their watches now. Then the elevator door opened, and the men of the maintenance company came in and helped poor Akira who was almost paralyzed. Akira said with a terrified voice:
-do you see them!? Do you see them!?
-see who? Answered one of the men.
-The girl and the old couple of course!
-no, there is nobody there. Maybe, Sometimes you hallucinate when you are in shock. Are you sure you are fine sir?
-ha! I am totally fine! Let me out of this building now! You have kept me locked up long enough!

Akira rushed outside and took a seat on one of the benches that were right in front of the office building.
Then he spotted the three people from the elevator across the street, they starred at him with sad eyes and watched their watches. In a matter of seconds, a construction platform that stood behind Akira, fell down on him with a terrible force and smashed his skull in pieces with a cracking sound. People around began to scream. Another man in an old hat showed up beside the three, and said:
-I am so sorry for the delay of his death, let us go to the next accident, where five young teenagers will die a painful death in a terrible car accident. And so the four of them disappeared into the dark night of Tokyo…

Japan

February 4, 2007

hello again everyone (…who is reading this) ;)

long time no see eh. I thought it was time to write something meaningful, but I actually got nothing meaningful to share. hmm, maybe I should have a little chit-chat about my feelings for Japan, now when it aint so long time left for my farewell of Sweden.

For those who have no idea what I am talking about, I am going to live the “way of the japanese” for 9 months in a japanese family, from march 2007 till january 2008 as an exchange student. I am really looking forward to it, tho I have many things I dont wanna depart from, here in Sweden, like friends, my girl and so on. But hopefully I will be able to get some new friends over there haha. And I already got some, like my cool mate Masaya (cheers masaya!).

I dont really know how I will take it when I arrive in Japan becuz of my last trip there. I got so many wonderful and sad memories from Japan, even if it was just a 3-week-trip :p haha. I dont wanna go into detail, but to sum up and short the sad memory of Japan, I left a girl there.

Japan (wordpress)

Rocks, Papers and the Scissor!

January 17, 2007

I did not expect me to write another jaw-dropping post this fast, hihi. But here you got it, ladies and ladymen!

Rock! Paper! And Scissor!

once again I will assume what your thinking about the title is. I believe you all think like “why bother reading about that antique game! who cares :) ” But actually this theory and thoughts about that old game is quite interesting ;) at least I think it is! And because I think it is interesting, you will think it is interesting. Damn, what a boring introduction of this exciting post! If you read this far, lets keep on reading shall we? “yes” *you answer* :)

So, how much of a strategic game is rock, paper and scissor? Actually many believes its not pure luck, but some strategy might help you on the way to be victorious. But! if you think about it, I did :) , there are no thinking what so ever involved in it, except that you pick one of the three random choices. But if you win the round, it is completely because of luck. In other words, it is a totally random game!

rocks1

above you can see the thriling and powerfull rocks!
And the rock do actually kinda rocks
:)

How do we spice it with some logic reasoning then? I got the answer! What if we said that paper will give you 1 point, scissor gives 3 points and rock delivers the amazing 5 points? Now we made it a little more tricky huh? finally it is beginning to sound a bit exciting.

Obviously both of us would be tempted to choose the rock, because it gives greater points compared to the paper and scissors. But then you know I will most likely play the paper to counter your rock. Or maybe because you know that I know that you know I will play the paper to counter your rock, you play the scissor to counter my paper. But what if I predicted you this far, and played rock myself? I mean, it got 5 times better payoff than the paper. Sure, I can loose, but then you only get 1 point, so the “wager” for me is not that high. Mumbo-jumbo, and you got a rock, paper, scissor game that requires some sort of intelligence to win.

Very interesting idea huh? ;)

Why not try it out with a friend? the only equipment you need is your hand, but that is not so “only” if you got no hands…

first to a total of 20 points wins the game!

Good luck!

I have made this text from the brilliant www.sirlin.com, a very cool site of which contains loads of ideas and thoughts about all kinds of game machanics!

Glossy screens?

January 16, 2007

okay, we can begin with this simple and direct question, will you choose a glossy screen before a non-glossy one?

not too hard to predict that your answer will lean towards the “I want the shining screen of course!!!” version. Yes, and the rest of the consumers agree with you. But is really the glossy screen that invincible? I mean, are the non-glossy old screens that bad? Sure it seems like, but it’s waaaay wrooong~~ x)

here we got the “fantastic” shining screen:

oww! looks cool! but, if I asked for a mirror, I would have said it, goddamnit! :)

anyways! it doesn’t matter how its functionality is, as long as its turned off. so let us take a look how it works when it is turned ON ;)

laptop2

yeesh! I want that mirror! isn’t it pretty?? it would be a very nice bathroom mirror! but a ratter expensive one tho…

Why do people buy these inpractical “things”???

* They are stupid

* The glossy screens look better in the shop

* They like…err… mirrors?

first, why are people stupid? Because when they walk into the computer shopping malls, the reflecting shiny screens capture the people’s eyes, people don’t inspect the screens, they only “inspect” them and think like “ow, isn’t this a nice laptop, I mean, it has a sharp, glossy, and expensive-look screen! I dont care how it’s functionality is! I BUY IT!”

The glossy screens look better in shop, yes, I agree, actually glossy screens look better wherever you are! Because they shine, and non-glossy don’t. Non-glossy screens are “old” and not as sharp as glossy ones, tho glossy screens are totally worthless anywhere where you can find a source of light.

Third, and yes, they represent the new era of mirrors :)

This is my conclusion:

People = Idiots
Glossy screens = Mirrors

(dont take this post too serious. the purpose of it is to be sort of entertaining (I hope it is :p) But glossy screens are, in my line of sight, far worse than non-glossy)

take care!;)
